Quality Valves to ISO 9001:2008

In order to assure our customers that John Mills products and services fully meets their quality requirements, our internal procedures and processes are audited annually by Lloyd's Register and we currently conform to ISO 9001:2008. The Quality Management System is applicable to the manufacture of valves and fittings for the Marine, Offshore and General Engineering Industries, the manufacture of non ferrous castings and associated patterns.

• All our valves are 100% Pressure tested prior to despatch.
• We can supply either 3.1 Certification or a Certificate of Conformity.
• We can arrange on your behalf inspection by Lloyds, DNV, ABS or other surveying societies.
• We accommodate other 3rd Party or end-user inspection by prior agreement.

We strive to supply quality products to our customers, and perform rigorous quality checks at each stage of our manufacturing process.

Pre-Melt Analysis

Ingots used in all our castings are chemically analysed by our approved suppliers and mechanical tests are carried out by an independent 3rd Party. This ensures the correct metal composition in all our castings.

Casting Inspection Quality

Pre-Machined castings are inspected for quality prior to any further operations.

Machining Inspection Quality

After fully machining a casting, operators complete record sheets, demonstrating that their part of the job has been completed within tolerance and to a sufficient standard. Their work is then randomly audited.

Testing & Final Quality Inspection

Assembly, testing and a final inspection are carried out by fully trained staff. Only then do we release our products for 3rd party inspection and despatch.
