Welcome to John Mills Valves. Established in 1828 John Mills supplies bronze and aluminium bronze gate, globe, ball and check valves.  With our own pattern shop, foundry, machine shop, assembly and testing facilities enabling flexibility, speed of response and competitive pricing, John Mills Valves is an approved MoD (Ministry of Defence) supplier and has become the chosen partner for many of the engineering valve houses across Europe for non-ferrous valves for the petrochemical and marine industries.

Now due to John Mills’ growing reputation for trustworthiness and on-time delivery, we are extending our customer base beyond Europe to the valve houses and original equipment manufacturers in the Middle East, Asia, and North & South America.

Our standard valve range

Our standard valve range is available on lead times as short as 24 hours.  This range is available with a wide range of trims from stainless steel to Monel, and a wide range of end connections.

Bespoke products and specials

We have a long tradition of supplying bespoke and special products for individual customers such as ConocoPhillips, BP, Linde,  Shell and G.W.Sprinkler.  With our complete in-house facilities, we can take a product from your design drawings to a fully built and tested valve ready for despatch within weeks.

Applications and markets

Our valves are principally used for sea water service in the marine, oil and gas, nuclear, water treatment and chemical industries on cooling water lines, fire protection systems and other water services on ships, submarines, offshore platforms, coastal refineries, nuclear plants and desalination plants.

Our Customers

Our principal customers fall into 2 groups – the engineering valve houses who supply valve packages and the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) of complete products and systems that incorporate sea water lines for the industries listed above.  We supply all our customers direct from the factory in Newcastle.
